We continue to vaccinate against measles for Priority groups 

  • babies age 6 to 11 months
  • 1-4-year old scheduled immunisations
  • children under 5 years who require catchup vaccination
  • Under 30 years with no recorded MMR (one dose) 
  • Pacific and Maori
  • tertiary and school students
  • family members of new-born babies and mums of new borns (0-6mths)
  • teachers and early childhood educators

Signs and symptoms

If you think you have Measles and have the following symptoms:

  • Fever ≥ 38°C AND
  • Rash AND ONE
  • or more of the following symptoms:
    • Coryza (includes a runny/stuffy nose)
    • Cough
    • Conjuntivitis (sore red eyes)
    • Koplik spots (tiny white spots inside the mouth)
