Ciaran is a new GP with an interesting background being a trained Osteopath and a Department of Conservation biodiversity ranger. He has recently worked in various Auckland hospitals in general medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, psychiatry, paediatrics, older adult’s health, obstetrics and gynaecology.
He is passionate about addressing inequalities in health and this drive has taken him to work overseas in Swaziland and do health research in Samoa. Last year he chose to practice as a GP so that he could take a more holistic approach to being a doctor and spend more time treating people rather than ‘problems’.
Ciaran enjoys living on Waiheke Island with his partner Emma and dog Lola. Being a local the health of the community is close to his heart.
