We are pleased to announce that the Waiheke Covid Immunisation vaccination programme is now operating.

Covid-19 vaccines will be available and accessible locally, for all residents on Waiheke over the next several months.

  • The Pfizer vaccine is available to everyone aged 12 and over;
  • The vaccine rollout is happening nationwide across different groups;

Waiheke Island residents are now receiving invitations for their COVID-19 vaccinations.

The Waiheke Island Vaccination centre is located at the Red Cross in Oneroa.

Notes

If you’re also getting the flu or measles vaccination, you will need to wait at least:

  • Two weeks between the influenza (flu) vaccine and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Four weeks between the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine and the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine if you get the MMR vaccine first
  • Two weeks between the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and the MMR vaccine if you get the COVID-19 vaccine first.
